This course, Introduction to Life Cycle Assessment, introduces the methodology to analyse the environmental burdens of product and service systems. Prof Dr. Matthias Finkbeiner guides you in exploring life cycle assessment (LCA) through the use of instructional videos. Society requires the means to process a tremendous amount of data to make informed decisions for design and consumption of products and services. LCA is the standards based approach to organise and synthesise this data, taking into consideration the whole life of a product or service, from extraction of raw materials, through manufacturing, use, and end-of-life.
